A car shoot. An SUV shoot. A symbol of a man’s ride, the epitome of machismo and not portrayed better than by Safari Strome. An adrenaline charged, high octane filled environment. And we loved every minute of it!
A team that numbered in low 100’s, 130 to be exact, pulled off this shoot without a hitch and without tripping over each other. The secret is simple. Years of working together and a trust developed over the years. Getting the models and the crew together was a different story. The shoot had to be done in 2 days from the date of approval. Although the initial talks had been done, arranging such a huge mass on such a short notice led to a few sleepless nights to say the least.
Coordination was the biggest necessity of this shoot which our production head pulled off with his usual charm and ease. The most important aspect of the coordination was with the external vendors to erect the set in the studio complete with a 10 - 12 feet long ramp to give the tilted look to the car. Minimum photoshopped images are our forte and we stick to it.
We always strive to deliver the best to the client and one very important aspect of this is timeliness. Apart from the shoots, the client also needed shots of only the models and shots of the car only. Completing this in the agreed upon time with one photographer was impossible, even for us. (Yes, we learned that word the hard way that day). But we are Qench. And we never give up. Nor do we fail. Ever. Without a moment's thought or hesitation or even without so much as a glance or thought to the budget or our profitability, we had one more photographer executing the model shoots. We even constructed the separate set for this shoot. So, there we are, executing 2 shoots simultaneously in the same studio on 2 different sets and pulled it all off without a hitch. All in the name of a thirst for excellence and the client’s satisfaction.
