Founded in 2009, Artisan’s Cellar cultivates and distributes a portfolio of hand selected wines. They wanted a unique yet modern identity that would stand out and also stand the test of time. Given full creative license, we explored an immense range of options before resting with the final icon and impressive logo, interviewing a variety of stakeholders including wine connoisseurs, restaurant owners, and vineyard workers in the process.
The final mark features a clean, minimal typeface that combines an “a” representing the individual artisans with a “drop” for the specific niche of Artisan’s Cellar, kegged wine served on tap in restaurants. Once the brand was born, our team worked diligently to deliver top-of-the-line stationary elements, with the inclusion of a personalized logo exploration booklet.
After creating the logo, we then took the brand online with the goal of designing a website that would push the envelope while still delivering content in a creative, efficient manner. The wireframes were delicately crafted to ensure that the process would meet these expectations, and the final website is clean, elegant and informational.
