Final Major Project | Cafe Kindred

The main challenge was to identify the leading causes of stray cat overpopulation in the city of Colombo.In addition, discover a system to educate the public on the subject and involve them in the solution. 
In solution to this,a branded communal space that doubles as a potential adoption center for rehabilitated stray cats has been devised.It’s collateral focuses on an all round awareness regarding the plight of these animals & what we can do to help them.
Every human being is unique in their own right. No two people have the same personality. However there are certain people who get along with each other due to certain similarities in their personalities. In the case of cats, no two cats are the same. Their personalities differ and each cat has a distinct trait. Matchmaking - bringing together cat and human with the most compatible personalities and forming a lifelong bond of love and camaraderie.
Using striking colors, bold and playful photography the visual style emulates the complex 
yet dynamic nature of feline and human personalities.

The term Kindred was chosen to represent the likeness in feline and human personalities that the organization is attempting to match. It also refers to the community created in the process and how everyone gathering for this cause are of kindred spirit.

Brand Promise

The brand promise addresses the idea of matchmaking insinuating that a at/s and a person is the perfect pair. Additional tagline refers to the core participants within the brand. This tagline is seen on the business card, letterhead and the facade of the cafe.
