Ministry Ideaz's profile

Requirements for World Heritage Site Designation

Since 2003, Ministry Ideaz has offered high-quality products for Jehovah’s Witnesses to use in service, worship, and daily life. Ministry Ideaz is located in Quito, Ecuador, home to one of the first historical sites to be declared a United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site.

Selected on the basis of having cultural, scientific, historical, or some other manner of significance, a World Heritage Site is a natural or cultural landmark that has been officially nominated and selected by the United Nations, specifically by UNESCO. Nominated sites must be of "outstanding universal value," and they need to meet at least one of 10 criteria to be eligible for selection.

As of July 2016, 1052 sites (203 natural, 814 cultural, and 35 mixed) have been listed in 165 countries. Regarded as being vital to the collective interests of humanity, the sites are legally protected under international treaties.
