The idea of living a peaceful life with nothing but love, uniting with others, and respecting and being respected has been around since the dawn of time. But it was in the deep underground where this idea was given a name, "PLUR."
Geeks, freaks, and losers created what we now know as "raves" to offer a safe place where outcasts can come together and celebrate love, life, and individuality. It was at these parties where PLUR began to take on a life of its own. Now, continued to be carried on by old school ravers & kandi kids, PLUR has become a staple in the rave community and continues to inspire people to be better.
In Summer of 2017, Insomniac Events will be hosting their 21st installment of the Electric Daisy Carnival. In 1997 Insomniac created the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) and the goal was to offer a unique raving experience by have multiple stages and carnival rides. From humble beginnings with a minimal amount of stages and rides, to now hosting 8 massive stages, multiple art cars, and a large handful of rides, Insomniac Events has and will continue to find new ways to build upon the EDC experience.
