As a designer you always hope to have an impact on people and the world with your work. And there is no better way to do that than raising awareness for a cause. Designing for the greater good. This shirt was born out of collaboration with a fellow designer, Austin Mayden, and the idea that we can use our skills to call attention to the injustices, and the potential harmful impact that the Dakota Access Pipeline Project can have.

While there are many issues with putting an oil pipeline through protected Native American lands, the harmful treatment of peaceful protestors, and the underwhelming response from the people financially support the pipeline to change anything, we decided to center our design around the water. The Dakota Access Pipeline runs the risk of polluting one of the largest fresh waterways in the midwest. Having the potential to impact the lives of millions of Americans and having catastrophic effects on the way of life for the native people in the area. We want to call attention to the fact that Water Is Life. A right everyone has to for pure survival.

Show your support for a good cause and fight against the pollution and injustice. The shirt can be bought over here on Cotton Bureau. All designers profits will be donated the Standing Rock Dakota Access Pipeline fund to help out the people with feet on the ground.
