[ 7*7*7 Studio ]
BSc - Design 1 - 2012

The assigned project was to design a 7*7*7 studio taking into consideration that the designed space was targeting an individual with a certain profession of the student’s choice, mine was a photographer.

What distinguishes a photographer view of the world is his/her ability to frame this view into a photo characterized by a balanced distribution of the elements of the natural view which makes it a piece of art combining the reality and the intervention (framing) of the photographer, the design tries to imitate this ability and enhance it by framing the views of the living space of the photographer.

The function of the machine that the photographer utilize to produce his work is to capture rays of spectrum light with all what it holds of colors, moments, memories and reality into a dark room which is the literal meaning of that word “camera”, the perceptuality of this project tries a reflected analogy by presenting darker more abstract materials on the outside capturing the live colors within the interior space.

The existence of the function of the classic photography dark room is a related addition to the regular spaces of a studio.
