The Stick PC is a revolutionary micro-PC that runs on the Windows 8 operating system. To promote efficiency in commercial usage, creators also offer several portable hardware add-ons, including speakers, pico-projectors and batteries. In the past few years, the volume of traditional desktop computer sales has been slowly but steadily decreasing. This is not a surprise to the industry because pad computers have been providing alternative mobility, easier interaction and a more desirable appearance. Pad computers are great; however, they are still lacking in computing power and multitasking ability compared to traditional computers. This is why when we introduced the new Stick PC, we knew it will be the new trend setter for the future.

We defined Stick PC as a hard Drive with an OS inside, which can be used in three different scenarios; Home, Work and Outdoor activity. From product research, four insights were found : 1) Widespread use of smart phones and tablets. 2) Wireless hard drive with computing power. 3) High mobility products usually lack storage. 4) Popularity of app remotes.

Defining the audience was difficult, and convincing our client that these people would purchase this concept was also a challenge. We created 4 types of persona and they have some common traits. For instance, people who need or like to work in different places, using smart devices for a long time, usually carry big amounts of data, take photos around and share videos or pictures of their family ... and so on. They could be a school teacher, an info worker or a magazine editor. More over,  they are willing to try something new and not afraid of new technology.

When you look at Stick PC, it is quite impossible to determine what it is; judging by its size, it looks like a battery or a hard drive; judging by its shape, it looks like a decorative art piece in a modern art exhibition.You would probably guess many things before you realize that Stick PC is a fully capable operating system, compacted with a wireless 1TB hard drive and detachable hardware components such as speakers, mini projector and battery, modular design is a key feature in this concept.

Stick PC utilizes the most essential computer components, allowing it to remove the standard computer fans while maintaining its computing power. This technology not only greatly reduces the size and the weight of Stick PC, but it also gave Stick PC a very unique placement in the competitive computer industry.
