They keep you strong

They keep you healthy

Where were you? 

All my ladies at the market, all their strength, all their courage.

I see you, I see them, I see myself.

I'll miss them.

They give sense, they give joy, they give love.

They took pieces of me, a lot of pieces.

They've torn me apart and recollected me again.

So simple, so true, so sad but so strong.

These photos were taken last spring. It took a lot of time and patience to get them smile, to make them let me take photos of them. They shouted on me, cursed me, but at the end a lot of them became like mothers to me. I am still digesting that experience. I did not want to release these photos until I felt the time was right.
