We had to design chairs for Northside festival in Aarhus, the greenest Festival in Northern Europe and therefore, we had to work with sustainable plastic and wood. With a short design process period, the idea was to start building early out of a few drawing sketches and rhino 3D sketches.
Our furniture solution is a lounge chair designed for two persons that is aiming to relax the users but make sure that the angle don’t make them fall asleep and to keep up a rotation of users. The structure is symetric, with two identical wood trapezies on each sides wich are holded together with wood sticks in between. The sustainable plastic is folded by a warming and melting process and screwed together on the wood sticks of our chair.
The «Trapeze relax» had a huge success at the festival and is still used today three years later.
