Aotearoa New Zealand
is on the Waikato River system. The Waikato River is New Zealands largest River system. It averages 100m wide for most parts. Here at Huka Falls however it all converges to a Gorge of volcanic rocks measuring 20m wide for about 200m. There is approxiamately 220,000 litres per second flowing through this and it drops off a 20 meter drop.
is one of many lakes around the North Island of NZ. In the background Mt Tongariro is quietly puffing away to itself. There are 2 other Mountains beyond Mt Tongariro, Mt Ngauruhoe and Mt Ruapehu, of which are also volcanoes. Mt Ruapehu erupted in late 2007 so is still very active to this day.
is just a scenic which we came across on the side of the road. Down below is a beef station and at the time of the picture the stock were calling out as theyheard the farmer coming on his motorbike. The lake in the background is Lake Taupo
