Acne - Restaurant & Bar

Acne
Restaurant & Bar

Acne restaurant and bar is located at 100 Notting Hill Gate, one of the main thoroughfares of Notting Hill in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

This area is known as a cosmopolitan and fashionable district with high-end shopping and restaurants. It is also known for the annual Notting Hill Gate Carnival, and for being the home of the Portobello Market, located only 5 min from the restaurant.

Acne is a Swedish brand founded in Stockholm in 1996 by four creative people, and it stands for ‘Ambition to Create Novel Expression’. Their ambition was to create and develop a lifestyle brand through desirable products. This led to diverse assignments like advertising, graphic design, film and product production, business and concept development beside their own fashion line.

The concept for this restaurant is, of course, inspired by Acne’s fashion, as well as Acne magazine and the interior of their stores. Instead of having clothes and details, it will be the furniture that will reflect their characteristic fashion in this restaurant. Their inspirational words are cool and personal, clean, functional, stylish, modern and strong. So, these are important words to describe the overall concept.
