Through the use of packaging design we aimed to comment on the nature of gen y dating, and its habits. Not only are these forms of contraception used differently, they also have different attributes. We then paired these with three themes that encompass the multitude of relationships and scenarios that exist within the gen y dating world. The first being the condom which comments on the disposable nature of relationships which is encouraged by social platforms such as Tinder. Next, the oral contraceptive pill which focusses on misrepresentation, again social platforms allow us to convey this in ourselves by curating our social profiles in terms of photographs and personal descriptions, and also the major increase and ease of cosmetic manipulation. And last, the rod implant, which shows the nature of commitment to a relationship and not completely knowing what you are getting into until you trial it.
