Interior design should place a lot of emphasis on atmosphere, and that was my approach for this project, and I wanted to capture the warm and cozy feel of a relaxed afternoon in a beach-house. Several textures and materials were used to achieve the intended feel, and mainly warm hues of cherry wood can be seen on the structure.
This project was based on an already existing building in Bayside, Queens NY. I redid the facade to slightly change its real life feel, and added environment lighting to accentuate the project’s atmosphere.
An example of an arrangement of ales, bottles and barrel. Textures and lighting are essential to transform an otherwise simple composition into something worthwhile. Reflections, shadows and transparency were used throughout to create a more realistic image.
