Ian Njuguna's profile

Nairobi Line Project

The Nairobi Line Series Celebrates the different monuments that give a sense of identity to my City: Nairobi.
I then took the different art pieces and translated those into products.
This is one of the iconic structures in Nairobi. It was designed by British Sculptor James Butler. It's a representation of Kenya's first president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.
The second in my series on Nairobi, is the statue that commemorates the soldiers that fought in World War One. The sign at the sight says that the monument “is to the memory of the native troops who fought: To careers who were the feet and hands of the army: And to all other men who served and died for their King and Country in Eastern Africa in the Great War, 1914-1918”

You may have seen a different Version of the same design before, i decided to minimalize it for this series.
