I made this book as a personal reflection of my own self doubt and desire for advice and guidance from others to move in the right direction. I used letterpress for the all of the typography and estisol transfer for all of the photographic elements. For the blue abstract shapes and black computer mouse shapes I used monoprint with oil based ink. I printed on Stonehenge printmaking paper as well as thick tracing paper in order to use the layering of text and image to create depth and multiple ways of reading the book.
I combined my own associations of a blog and a traditional book by using idyllic vacation photos which are often seen on social media sites such as Tumblr, and traditional hard covering and book binding methods.
The slipcover of the book unfolds into a poster once it is removed from the book. The pattern matches the pattern on the endpapers of the book.
