Nineteenforty brand development: execution

A contemporary Melbourne bar with a dose of nostalgia...

Rivoli Cinemas is a beautiful Art Deco cinema complex in Melbourne's suburbs, owned by Village Cinemas. Village was opening a new bar on the Rivoli rooftop. Having worked with them on the naming development and visual identity concepts for the bar, now named "nineteenforty", we now had to develop the chosen design direction so it could be applied to menus, coasters, posters, wayfinding, promotional material, web banners, and one-off items for their launch party such as lanyards and drink labels.

Having worked on this project right from the start - developing the venue's name as well as its visual identity - it was great to see this brand roll out across so many items. I really enjoy having the opportunity to tell a complete story with a brand from start to finish.
