The first step was to delve into the existing branding materials and digital assets and to organize content by using tags and taxonomy terms. Three creative directions were developed, each taking inspiration from their existing brand. The client chose one of the designs, and development of the site began in the browser. Rapid prototyping tools were used along with custom jQuery. The result was a progressive design while maintaining compatibility across all devices and browsers.
The back-end was then built around the customer’s needs and how they planned to maintain content. Finally, the front-end code was applied to the back-end CMS. Now, the client is able to quickly publish new content without cropping photos or editing design.
