This is a small project that I am doing. It requires me to recreate a masterpiece from a previous influential painter. I had chosen the Vanitas style, Painting by Jan De Heem, which mainly focuses upon still life from the Dutch Golden Era. Ideology surrounded by death, wealth and the huge gap between rich and poor. Not only that but it has been said they can represent the story of the "common' peasant or duke for example. It quite interesting once you fully read into it. However I had chosen to recreate this painting, and these are the few outcomes I had chosen from. Quality of focus, similarities in terms of composition, and overall the lighting. I had chosen to take one image even further by adding a Sepia styled tone to just really see what else I could be missing. However, I do prefer the images in their natural colourings when taken straight out of camera.
