This is the completed rendering of the Luna Moths.
To start us off with this project, we had to do at least three orthographic views of our specimen. This was before I re-hydrated her and positioned her wings into something a bit more interesting. She was missing her antennae and one of her legs.
This is my animated process for drawing a Luna Moth during my Drawing for Scientific Illustration class. It was constructed from observation with 25 layers of tracing paper.
