This project took inspiration from Knole House in Sevenoaks. I started off by doing some primary research and drawing on location which then moved into development of my drawings. I looked at different ways to apply my drawings to designs and chose to use applique along side stitching and embroidery. To get inspiration for the dress silhouette and fabric I focused on key words from my location such as 'elegance' and 'soft' as well at looking at silhouettes from the era of the house which I then translated into a more modern design.
