F I E S T A S D E S A N T A A N A F E S T I V A L
Every year in July, the biggest festivity of Boca del Rio in honor of the patron Saint Ana is celebrated. This festival consists of a series of cultural, religious, artistic, musical and traditional events as well as the preparation of the world’s largest seafood stuffed fillet, registered in the Guinness Record.
For this emission I chose a more modern and geometric concept for the graphic, to contrast from the previous ones in which the style was handmade with watercolor techniques. Characters were created to represent the main events and figures that conform the festival like the figure of Saint Ana and the cathedral erected in her honor, the Queen of the Sea and King Triton, the City Hall building, Saint Ana’s bath (with a hose); event that inaugurates the festival and finally the stuffed seafood fillet represented by a tarpon. Beach and sea elements were also added to point out the place and context where the festival is held.
