A-Models

My first take on creating a fashion-related brand. The project was brought to me by Aya Jakyp, a former model from Almaty, who wanted to build her own agency aiming to help young models from Kazakhstan get assignments on the international market.
All you have to know about Almaty is that it is surrounded by huge montain chains from Southern and Eastern sides. Which makes it pretty much the first thing to cross your mind when you hear the name of the city.

I was nearly done with the general stylistic direction but still something more had to be done as it lacked energy and life. That’s how the ‘fingerprint’ pattern idea was born.

To wash out the perfect and at some point dull tidiness of minimalistic everything, I’ve added this ‘fingerprint’ pattern, that shows some sort of a ‘human touch’, well, which is literally a trace of touching something. Guess it’s a pretty good metaphor to creating something from scratch, which, in a sense, is being quite a dirty work.
