Hayball Architects's profile

Chloe, Irving Avenue, Box Hill

Responding to the trend towards higher density residential development, Hayball is creating an exciting multi-residential building opposite the Box Hill Gardens.

Strategically located in the heart of the Box Hill activity centre, the 9-level building of 106 one and two-bedroom apartments will provide a mix of accommodation that is being marketed to both owner occupiers and investors.

An exploration of Hayball’s abiding interest in architectural contrasts, the form plays on themes of solid / void and light / shade. Its appearance from the gardens to the north is carefully considered, and the glazed expression also maximises views from within to the gardens. Floor to ceiling windows create light filled living spaces that open onto large balconies ideal for outdoor entertaining.

Crowning the building is a generous communal roof terrace featuring a pergola and barbeque, with views across to the parklands.
