The New Years Double is a race that takes place in Allen, Texas over New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and benefits the Allen Parks Foundation. Participants have the option of running any combination of a 5K, 1/2 marathon relay, 1/2 marathon, or full marathon over two days to earn a double medal and challenge plate.

Fun side note: I ran half marathons back to back so that I could "earn" my medals the real way and not just because I designed them. It was totally worth the pain. I'm pictured here next to the race director and our large photo backdrop.
