This booklet has been designed to encourage tourists to visit British Columbia's Pacific Rim. As it was a school initiated project, the text in the booklet is from the Bamfield Chamber and Hello BC websites and the photos are from Unsplash.
The photos in the booklet aim to express the rugged and breathtaking power of the Pacific Rim area. This ruggedness is balanced with a clean layout that utilizes simple icons, white space, and a crisp sans serif typeface. The typeface chosen, Tofino, was designed by Vancouver local Alanna Munro. She describes the font as "West Coast Swiss". The typeface was used heavily in the booklet and helped to inform and inspire its layout and the icon designs.
