The Stadium Bike Slow Roll is group ride that celebrates the craft beer scene, once per month in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Put on by the LBS (local bike shop), the group ride starts at the LBS and has a predetermined route and meanders itself to one of the five local breweries. A centralized beer vessel containing the name of the event, sets myself up very well for an imminent poster series.
This series will be implemented from November 2016 - April 2017.
For the Stadium Bike Slow Roll poster series, I drew my inspiration from the two things that interest me most; bicycles and beer. The combination of those two things and my love for design really made my gears turn (yes). My goal for the poster was to communicate a grass roots movement while celebrating the craft of brewing.
My use of a brush gives the poster a handmade signage appearance but the brilliant blue ink on white paper really catches the eye along with the identifiable shape of the growler, hops, wheat, chain rings and cogs, and chains.
