She Waited, For Him is a hand-bound and embroidered book about my experience as a woman navigating heteronormative ideals. The book has an infinite structure, emphasized by the continuation of the title onto the back cover, and by the embroidery that threads through each page. The passive cycle of waiting for male validation cannot be broken without forceful action. Scissors are provided with the book to suggest that escape is possible, but only at the cost of disruption.
