Garden design: Christopher Bradley-Hole
Planting installation, precision clipping and maintenance: Alaster Anderson
Completed: October 2015

The design of this garden uses only three plant species. These are: three hundred Taxus baccata; one multi-stemmed Amelanchier lamarckii and four Prunus lusitanica (Portuguese laurel). Plants were sourced from a nursery in Germany and arrived on the hottest day of the summer in a refrigerated lorry, in June 2015.

The developer required immaculate presentation and attention to detail and therefore planting had to be precisely set out to the millimetre to ensure the crisp clean look that was required.

A year after planting regular maintenance is provided and clipping undertaken every two weeks throughout the summer to maintain the minimalistic simple design.
