Projektbeschreibung: Das Non-Profit-Projekt »Industriebrachenumgestaltung«, kurz IBUg, ist ein Festival für urbane zeitgenössische Kunst mit dem Schwerpunkt Streetart, zu dem sich Künstler aus mehreren Ländern treffen, um gemeinsam stillgelegte Industrieanlagen unter Einbeziehung der Architektur kreativ »umzugestalten«. Die Ergebnisse werden der Öffentlichkeit anschließend bei einem mehrtägigen Fest mit Führungen, Vorträgen, Workshops, Kunstausstellungen, Filmvorführungen, Verkaufsständen, Konzerten und Parties präsentiert. 2014 wurden das Gelände und die Gebäude der ehemaligen Tuchfabrik der Gebrüder Pfau und die Lederfabrik in Crimmitschau (Sachsen) umgestaltet. Das Motto lautete entsprechend »Stoff und Leder«.

Project description: The non-profit project IBUg (short for German »Industriebrachenumgestaltung« / Industrial wasteland makeover) is a festival for contemporary urban art focusing on street art. Artist from different countries meet there to collectively recast shut down industrial sites focusing in particular on the specific architecture. Results were showcased to the public on a festival including guided tours, lectures, workshops, art exhibitions, screenings, stalls, concerts and parties. In 2013 the abandoned textile factory »Tuchfabrik Gebrüder Pfau«and the leather factory in Crimmitschau (Germany) was recast. Thus the motto was »Stoff und Leder« (»Fabric and Leather«).
