Antidote is an iOS client for Tox  a peer-to-peer messenger that supports audio- and video-calls and pays extra attention
to privacy of all your conversations. The fact that this is an open source project also proves its security.
Branding & Logo design

Every design has a story behind it, so let me tell mine. :)
It started with the logo. Initially, it was decided to make the connection with Tox obvious for every user.
Tox logo looks like this:
I've tried numerous variations of potential logo, but the main ideas were:
- Antidote \ anti-toxiс properties (though not assosiated with medicines or chemistry too much)
- "A" letter for the name
- Security and safety
- Instant messenging attributes
Here are some interim options I was working on:
As for the colors, I wanted to stay clear and minimalistic.
White was chosen as the most peaceful color to represent neutralizing properties of antidotes themselves, as long as classic approach and willing to let user's eye rest after bright Skype and Viber applications.
Blue was made an accent color for its additional benefit: it is easily recognizable by people with vision impairments (and we do want to make every user happy with the experience). Not to end up boring, the accent color was sprinkled with purplish gradient to match latest iOS trends.
The final logo:
Application design

The rest of Antidote screens was styled according to the chosen concept. If you ask me, I'm especially proud of using accent gradient for message bubbles and buttons on the PIN screen — an unobtrusive way to cheer up the default iOS version. :)
And here you go!
Thank you for watching!
