Kew Science, who are based at the Royal Botanical Gardens of Kew, planned to launch a yearly symposium on the state of the world’s plants. But, they didn’t just want to publish a traditional hard copy of the global trends they identified. They wanted to open up their datasets to the world, and provide an engaging, interactive way for their research to
be consumed.
We developed a colour palette that represented each of the 13 research themes and brought the data to life interactively with technologies like Google Maps. Interactive diagrams and timelines allow the user to manipulate the data and explore it in ways that are just not possible
on paper.
