The Chornobyl disaster, or simply Chornobyl, was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986 in what was then known as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (UkSSR), now Ukraine. It was the worst nuclear power plant accident in history.
Infographic is a self-initiated project, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the accident. We wanted to raise awareness of lessons of such tragedies and show the summary of main data about Chornobyl in terms of cost and casualties. Heavy data is accompanied by anxious color palette on the purpose of full immersion in the scale of the accident.
