The Alternative Design Approaches Final Course Project will allow you to synthesize the ideation and media techniques that you have experimented with during the first half of the course. For this project, you will design a book that expresses a progression through three distinct emotional phases: calmness, happiness, and anger. You will choose a passage from an inspiring and/or expressive writing (i.e., poem, song lyric, or novel) that will serve as the text in your book. The nature of your visual narrative will be dictated by the communication strategy that you develop. You are expected to consider all visual components, including typography, format, texture, color, and media, in this creative exploration.
