I was in Pulau Sebatik (Sebatik Island) on assignment for Bank Islam (Malaysia) to document their Qurban activity. As a passionate photographer who constantly find things to document about humanity and life, we managed to sneak a few shots about life in Sebatik. Pulau Sebatik are divided into two borders namely Malaysia and Indonesia. I was on the Malaysian side of the border. I managed to interview and talk to several local people in Sebatik.

The only transportation to get to Pulau Sebatik from Tawau is via boat ride. Boat ride only available for the public to use during the day time.

Sebatik's closest neighbour is Tawau, but people from Tawau never been to Sebatik at all. Sebatik villagers rarely recieved visitors that is non Sebatik Locals on daily basis. So I had the chance to see and have a little look this unknown island. This area was once famous for its uniqueness where a house in Pulau Sebatik has two borders. One in Malaysia and the other in Indonesia.
