Volunteers of America, Utah
As a non-profit organization, Volunteers of America, Utah (VOA) serves more than 10,000 youth across the state each year through programs addressing homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness, and domestic violence. Thousands of volunteers and partners join with them to accomplish their mission to reach and uplift
those in greatest need.

Volunteers of America, Utah holds an annual fundraising gala to help finance their day-to-day operations and programs. They wanted a way to elevate the impact of their gala theme, ‘Silver Spurs’, and create a more sophisticated look for the event. To do this, VOA tasked Saxton Horne to design and produce the
printed invitation and program.

We started by adding a more descriptive subhead, ‘Denim to Diamonds,” as a better way for the gala to express VOA’s mission. Then, with a little bit of Western flair, a touch of silver foil, and some tender love and care, we developed a unique logotype and composition to ensure that these invitations—and thus, the event—would never be forgotten. The invitation was well received and the gala was a success.
