Efficiency of layout that ensures a very dynamic and uninterrupted traffic flow by providing more waiting areas to avoid overflow of visitors in critical areas. Wide empty spaces provide abundant space for wheelchair bound and PWD’s to go around the space. Improved way-finding system is accomplished through legible and color-coded signage to allow the patients and visitors to independently navigate through the various spaces of the hospital.

The location of the front desk was strategically placed at the center of the space to create a welcoming arrival node and to enhance openness and accessibility. Interior finishes that are low maintenance, easy to clean, and readily replaceable are used to ease sanitation and maintenance. Light colored wood veneer panels line several walls while the remaining walls are painted in an off white color to evoke a feeling of cleanliness. Durable polished natural stone cladding that are easy to maintain serve as accent walls. Carpet tiles, employed for small areas, are preferred over broadloom carpets.

The curving pattern on the floors that simulates ripples on the water create visual boundaries to separate key areas in the space. It also creates an imaginary path for visitors walking around the space. Hanging lamps create interest on the simple ceiling design to allow the visitors to gaze to the openness of the space. Accent pieces that was designed by the internationally renowned Pinoy designers such as Kenneth Cobonpue and Vito Selma accentuates the space that promotes Philippines’ global competitiveness.
Being a forward thinking healthcare institution, technology also plays a big part in the design. It highlights the technological advancement in the medical field through state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. Large format screen displays or LFD’s were used as a means to display advertisements and or important information regarding the medical services provided by the hospital.

Application of sustainable design concept and energy efficient design features including the LED lighting technology to lower power consumption as the hospitals operates 24/7 and the use of inverter type air-conditioning system which regulates compressor speed to deliver just the right amount of cooling into the space.

A healthcare facility that creates a supportive healing environment by emphasizing abundant but controlled daylight, easy access to outdoor environments, thermal comfort, healthy materials and high indoor air quality. The facility design will also enhance staff well-being and productivity, provide exemplary infection control, and be easy and inexpensive to maintain.
The design is committed to exude a very serene atmosphere to the space that helps mental relaxation and physical recuperation by considering the psychological effects of color, texture, and illumination that is vital in the healing process. Use of raw materials such as natural tones of wood and the natural textures of the stone cladding to "remove the institutional look" from the interior. The calming hues of the water create an overall sense of calmness creating a very relax atmosphere for a more effective healing environment.
