I teamed up with the folks at Cigar City Brewing in Tampa, Fl to help them bring their seasonal Double IPA release to cans for the first time. We settled on a concept of the Florida Man character as the "World's worst Superhero". 

At the concept stage, I tried to establish a balance between making fun of the Florida Man legend while also honoring Florida itself. I worked with colors that brought to mind some of Florida's iconic sports franchises and for the character itself, I tried to work in a good balance of strength and comedy.

We ultimately settled on the gator-rasslin' concept with iconic South Florida neon color scheme. I moved to refine the thumbnail sketch.
