As main sponsor of the Tour de France, Škoda wanted to get more commitment and interaction during the Tour de France stages. ACHTUNG! developed a second screen app where people can join a Tour for themselves by predicting wnners of in between sprints, stage winners and gain bonus points with other mini games.

Since this campaign was a second screen app mainly for iPad users, we couldn’t fall back on richer animation in flash. All of the animations are dynamic: the colors and names of all the cyclists match with the players of the game. The challenge there for was to get the max out of the set boundaries without loosing the desired look and feel. Watch the highlights in the video below or enjoy them all over here (flash animations).
A peleton of 30.000
The campaign reached 'a peleton' of 30.000 app users who played on avergae 1,5 per stage.
It als got rewarded with several awards like a Cannes Lions in mobile, ADCN Silver Interactive, 2 Spinawards Silver and a Webby Award Honoree. For more in depth information about the campaign watch the casevideo below.
