[2012 report: Female and youth entrepreneurship in the province of Belluno]

The task was to design a product, on a media of the student's choosing, that could solve a problem or improve a situation. The final presentation of the project included: research, briefing, concept, description of the final product and feasibility (estimated production costs and distribution strategy).
I imagined an annual report on the state of entrepreneurship amongst females and youths in the province where I live (Belluno, Italy), with the aim of increasing awareness in the population and encouraging young people and women to start their own businesses in such a difficult area – a mountain territory, quite isolated and far away from big industrial centres. At that moment nothing like this existed: the data were only analysed by insiders and the explanatory materials were targeted at a small population of specialists.
The report is divided in three sections. In the first section the data is visualised in infographics and thematic maps. The second part is a guide to the process of opening a business, starting with a flowchart and continuing with detailed explanations of all the steps, with a focus on the practical and bureaucratic aspects and the specific regulations in the province. The final section presents interviews with young entrepreneurs, in order to give an insight into this world. The report would be published every year with different focus.
