I immersed myself in a unique project, a work of art that transcends the simple mural. In collaboration with Blob Video, I had the opportunity to transform an empty space into a dynamic world of Super Mario Bros., the iconic video game character. My goal was to capture the essence of 8-bit games and add a modern perspective, giving life to a truly special three-dimensional vision.
Artistic Concept:
I sought inspiration in Nintendo's legacy, where the three-dimensional experience is at the core of creativity. I worked on graphic design, aiming to blend the 8-bit aesthetic with a touch of innovation. To make Mario stand out from the context, I opted for soft and dynamic lines, avoiding the risk of flatness.
Artistic Execution:
To bring my concept to life, I collaborated with the skilled painter Alfonso Nappo. Through expert brushstrokes, we transformed my vision into a tangible and engaging artwork. Our artistic synergy transcended the boundaries of traditional painting.
Added Dimension:
The addition of the third dimension was achieved in collaboration with the specialized company Ideart 3D. I designed the elements in vector format, and the company produced the elements in polystyrene, meticulously crafted and integrated into the original artwork. Cubes, pipes, and plants became integral parts of my mural, creating a stunning visual effect.
Result:
After a month of intense dedication, the final result far exceeded my expectations. My 3D mural of Super Mario Bros. not only captures the attention of viewers but also represents my personal tribute to the passion for video games and artistic creativity. Both the client, Blob Video, and their customers have expressed admiration for the artwork, praising its ability to capture the spirit of Super Mario Bros. and create a unique artistic experience.
