In September 2016, after launching the latest Show, Burberry opened its Makers House. It was a space where the brand displayed the full AW 2016 runaway collection and presented a wide range of traditional British craft.
I was heavily inspired after spending a whole week at Makers House after the opening. During that time, not only I developed my life-drawing skills, but also found my style in fashion illustration.
For my illustrations, I mostly used characters from the iconic and my most favourite video game Final Fantasy 6 by Square Enix. Terra, the main character of the story, and her friends try to save the world from the evil empire, which has acquired great power by cruelly experimenting on captured magical animals. By mixing fashion and video games, I wanted to create something fresh and unique for the fashion illustration's genre.
While juxtaposing the characters with the Burberry collection, I chose the most accurate looks for expressing each character's individuality. Having a strong passion for video games, new technologies and fashion illustration, I wanted to experiment and create something new for myself and my portfolio using this unique chance as visiting and drawing at Makers House Burberry.
Six months after their first launch, Burberry reopened Makers House in February 2017. Using this opportunity again, I repeated my life-drawing fashion experience and illustrated the displayed collection again.
While changing my drawing style, this time I was more focused on the details and quality of my artworks rather than on how many looks I can depict.
My main goal was to self-express and project my personal feelings through the clothes illustrations. So instead of using Final Fantasy's existing characters, I came up with my own.

The only one illustration, which is drawn outside the Makers House. Being inspired by watching the Burberry Show online, I started to sketch and express my personal feelings and vision on the new collection and its style.
