MCMXI - Fatma Sahem 2016

This is a self-portrait I worked on for quite a while and it's still not finished. I wanted to express myself through this illustration by adding several things that makes me who I am as an artist and a person. I've always found self-portraits to be very hard to draw and to work on because you really need to dig deep to make the piece a representation of yourself. It was challenging to finish this drawing because I found myself stepping away from it because I didn't want to rush it and make a wrong decision that would ruin the piece. I'm still scared to color it, but I feel a little better since now I have this scanned and saved.
Will update once it's done, if it gets done that is.
