For our second project of the semester, we were randomly given a modernist architect. My architect in particular was Philip Johnson. Reflecting upon his famous Glass House and Penzoil Building designs, I decided to visualize what made Johnson's architecture so different from other modernist architects of his time. While defined as a modernst, Johnson was very much about his own individual thought. From many trips to the library to read about Johnson, I found that what made him unique was his concern for perspective, volume, structure, and outside visible inside.
