This refinishing project proved to be a challenge. My wife's grandfather had a cigar table that had been passed down in the family. The unique design of the table featured grooved legs and shelf edges symbolic of the Art Deco furniture era of the 1930's. It was very difficult to strip off the layers upon layers of old finish using a very fine steel wool. It was missing part of the leg and the very thin veneer on the table top was peeling and bubbling. Hours went into this project but the final result was worth it. The refinished top that was barely visible before now shows off the beautiful book matched walnut veneer.
