The project consisted in the design of the interior of a hotel or resort characterized by the way with which it would be structured and formed; through the use of shipment containers. Each room is a composition of two or more containers, by maintaining its frame structure which in certain cases would be hidden by material coatings or be concealed in the structure of the walls of the rooms. Characterized by its peaceful simplicity to create a zen environment, the style evolves around clean and uncluttered living, holding tightly to balance, order, ancient customs and a love for natural beauty; devised to be distinguished by its evident association to a Japanese style of an interior design concept. Each interior is composed with natural materials, traditional Japanese tatami mats made using rice straw to form the core, wood panels and wood separating elements, authentic Japanese screens backlit to integrate the idea of a natural harmony in the area. Large, expansive windows allow a view of nature from every angle of each room, its colour palette although following the traditional light and neutral hues of Japanese interiors, is also dominated by darker shades that enable a proper immersion with the exterior of the rooms, by not reflecting on the glass window.
