DESCRIPTION: Typewriters were designed originally as stand-alone utilitarian objects and eventually became the model for computer/tablet keyboards and cellular phone keypads. the typewriter gallery becomes more interactive from beginning to end, just as typewriters have over time. controls built into the space dictate the lighting located in the back of the gallery [at right]. guests that enter the space become active rather than passive visitors.
