An sculptural art piece, which was shown at the Sunday Afternoon showcase at 45 Renwick Street, Tribeca, NY
I started the sculpture process by 3d scanning a real Yeezy Boost 350 by a photogrammetry process. I distorted the model digitally, twisting, then displacing the middle section of sneaker. Balancing the weight distribution of the sculpture was a tricky process which involved rigid body simulations and some guess-work. The sculpture was 3D printed at real-world scale in a resin material.
