Quago Cosmos Dayhiker Pack

I always wanted a bag that can transition from the city to the mountains seamlessly. Since this is the first bag that we will build, I have to learn to a lot of things on the fly!
Color ideas for the bag
Actual prototype of the product. Straps are actually bigger. And the stretch fabric component of the bag that hides the bottom access zipper looks so much different due to puckering. Well, that's real life for you. Side release buckles and sliders are also cheap versions as of the moment since my order for the better plastic accessories have yet to arrive.
Tested the bag on the mountains. Noticed some needed, though minor, design adjustments, particularly the side pockets' direction and size for easier access, and to allow carrying larger bottles. I'm still looking into other stretch fabrics that can blend well with the waxed canvas look. Will also add ax and trek pole loops for the final product. Overall, the design translated really well. Can't wait to produce more of this bag in other styles and colors. :)
Finally done with this product! This is the final version of Cosmos. I used a traditional fabric (Tinguian weave from Abra) for the front panel to give it more character. Time to move on to the next product which is the Universe 20-30+L pack.
This pack used a combination of waxed canvas and Tinguian weave. I improved the bottom pocket to be more functional than the original concept. I can proudly say that this version is several times better than the initial design.
The back panel turned out different from the initial drawings. This updated design has been the culmination of a year's worth of studying. Funny how much one can learn in a year.
