This is the first mala created using a picture of Tremblant, Quebec. After manipulating the image in Photoshop, I took it into Illustrator for vectorization. The contour of Evergreen tree tops were then used to create a masking treatment.
A multi-exposed image shot in Gatineau received the same treatment as the previous. Instead of Evergreen tops as a mask, I used the contour of a maple leaf found in my backyard.
Adobe Capture CC is a great application, it allows you to Image Trace on the go. Creating vectored files has never been easier, with just a click I can have a design sent right to my laptop, ready to use. This mala was made using an image of trees by Parliament Hill, Ottawa.
No masks were used.

This final piece involves a set of trees captured with a long exposure and vectorized. A rock texture was then Image Traced using Capture to create a rough mask.
